Cutting An Adult Tooth

My daughter is now cutting a new adult tooth right behind the baby tooth she just lost.  She has not complained of pain, and seems eager to lose her next tooth, which has been loose, but is not quite ready to come out. 

I am pleased to report she did not complain of pain when we extracted her first tooth.  I think the extraction bothered me more than it bothered my daughter.  She was happy to have the tooth out, and has been proud to show off the little gap in her lower front jaw ever since she lost it.

What a wonderful day it was.  Just last night my daughter did a great job in her dance recital.  I received so many complements on her performance.  She was not at all shy in front of a very large audience.  It was Father's Day. 

On that same day, late at night, while tucking my daughter in for the night after helping her brush and floss her teeth, she was pulling at her front bottom tooth that had been loose for a while now.  I wasn't sure if we should pull at it, but my daughter said she wanted it out.  I asked her if it hurt and she said no.  So, my little four-year-old said, "Okay dad.  One... two... three."  I pulled on it and after a bit, her first baby tooth came out.  I was so proud of her.  She rinsed her mouth out, and then placed the tooth under her pillow for the Tooth Fairy. 

What a wonderful Father's Day it was for me.  I couldn't be more proud of my little girl....
